The English idiom: “to kill two birds with one stone” means to succeed in achieving two things in a single action, be it by accident or by foresight and planning.
For example, a businessman could be flying to a city on business, and decide to visit a family member while he or she is in that city.
Cycling to school kills two birds with one stone. It avoids pollution and keeps kids fit.
If people were encouraged to think of ways of doing two things with one action, our lives could be much more efficient.
